About in-person LESSONS

Because the Suzuki method emphasizes parent involvement, a parent must be present for every lesson. This is vital to the development of the young musician. The parent’s role is to help be the coach at home when needed. The parent learns in the lesson with the child to better assist in the home. This will continue from the very first lesson, until both teacher and parent can agree the child is ready to start individual lessons. All together, it completes what is known as the Suzuki Triangle; Parent-Teacher-Child.

Lessons are once a week for 30 minutes. The lessons occur in my home studio. Please bring all the materials needed for each lesson, as it is the parents duty to take notes and also remember what the child is learning every week. Every parent will be given a syllabus to go over prior to the lessons so they can have more insight on the Suzuki method and how to be prepared for lessons.

Once the child advances to the end of each book, there will be a short ‘graduation’ recital so the student can move on to the next level.

There are no online lessons at this time.

Group Classes (In-Person)

Group Classes occur bi-weekly. These classes are mandatory. They provide several benefits to the child’s musical development such as, performing in front of others, playing with other students, and socialization. A parent must be present for every group class. More information about group classes will be given prior to starting lessons.
